The UNESCO World Heritage Site in quite miserable rainy and foggy weather. Unfortunately, the characteristic turquois color cannot be captured on pictures under these conditions. At least the mountain tops have a little snow powder and the steepness of the fjord is visible in any case. And the fjord is not crowded with those annoying big cruise ships destroying the whole athmosphere.
A constant danger is the possible slide of a rock wall into the fjord and the subsequent tsunami - the growing crack is montiored closely by geoscientists. Some people even have debated to blast off the critical part of the mountain but the outcome of such a measure cannot really be predicted.
Some farms are braving the harsh conditions. Unbelievable how those people managed to live there. Apparently they used to rope up the smaller children to prevent them from falling down (not sure if that is just a myth though).
The "Seven Sisters" reduced to ~3 despite the wet weather.
And the "Suitor" opposite the sisters (if I remember that one correctly).
