Intersting hairstyle!

This was attached to the fly-screen last night. It's the caterpillar of the garden tiger moth and apparently it has survived from last year and is supposed to pupate soon. What a cool thing!

  1. A Wooly Bear! And almost no brown. That means a very cold winter. But somehow that didn't work out, did it?!?
    Have fun with it!

  2. Wow, didn't know that less brown means a cold winter. Well there were two weeks of extreme cold so maybe that was enough? Since it is an endangered species it was set free to roam in the garden and I hope to catch the hatched "bear" some day :)
