Never trust the weather forecast ;)

At least I tried: the destination for the hike was chosen two weeks ago and it is supposed to be really cool (of course only when it is not constantly raining), the alarmclock was set to half past 9, I tried to motivate people but they all decided to work on a Sunday so the plan was to go alone. Yesterday evening the weather looked promising after a whole day of rain the clouds cleared and the sun came out - luckily I took some pictures between 10 and 11 pm at the lake of this special atmosphere which can be seen below. In addition the weatherforecast said that it should be half cloudy, half sunny (but not really rain) - well that is not the case for sure today. Instead, I decided to sleep in - also needed from time to time. So now the promised pictures from the lake closest to my home which is called Sognsvann:

  1. I think I should start writing an epic story of the travelling Ju...
so: Here lies the epic lyrical and dramatic story of the travelling Ju.
It will continue in different spots so be patient.
    List of Characters:
Ju - a travelling viking with 2 horns on her helmet (armed with a rock hammer since she lost her battle axesomewhere in a hot spring )
Father T - travelling monk, a big tall man who is riding a small yellow donkey. He secretly follows Ju and occasionaly fights on her side.
Pan Roman - a hard rock miner, who found a sea of cooking oil in the mountains and is selling it everywhere.
    Heike - Firebreathing dragon.
MurBar - turkish king, who is establishing order in the lands of doom
Ali - a loyal MurBar soldier and bodyguard
    Rainer - a hobbit
Mr. Wu - a chienese fortune teller, lives high in the mountains.

All the characters in the story have to do something with Alaska, so if you want to know more about certain characters - whether ask Ju (since she knows them all in person) or wait for pictures that will be made sometime in the future. Additional character will appear on the way.

Chapter1: Wet and tired Ju was patiently climbing the wall of the highest mountain in the area. It was getting harder to climb with every single step since the bag with salmon was getting heavier and heavier. Perhaps we need to stop the narration and explain where Ju was climbing and why she had a bag of salmon on her. Hus homeland became boring for her. She fought with every singe giant and killed most of them. It was Jus tradition to make her hair even more curly after every single fight. And after some time Ju realized that if she does not live for some time there will be no more hair to curl u, since she would have an Afro style hair. Therefore she buil an irplane an dwanted to cross the border to look for new adventures. However in order to start the airplane Ju had to find some oil for the engine. And the only place to do so was to go to Pan Roman in his mountains and ask for some. Thats why Ju started her hard journey. Pan Roman did not accept any payment except for Salmon that was freely flying in the sky and nesting in the trees on the forest nearby. Ju got some salmon - hitting it with her hammer, since she lost her battle axe somewhere, and started climbing.
Rain was drippling on her and soon Ju became completely wet. Water dromp were drumming a high paced rhytm on her helmet, which was getting annoying, but brave viking would kill herself but never take her battle helmet off. It was a wonderfull helmet made out of stainless still - therefore it was a perfect plate and Ju never had to worry about carrying any plates, since she ate from the helmet. She also unscrew noe of the horns from the helmet and used it as a glass. The only problem was that she sometimes forgot to screw it back and went into battles with just one horn. HOwever faithfull Father T on his small donkey was always there for her. He would rush into the middle of the bloody fight screaming the words of love and passion, find Ju and carefully screw the horn back and polish it with his robe while Ju was trying to fight off some enemies...

  4. it was the 7th day of the climb when Ju finally noticed the yellow donkey of the Father T that was jogging upward on the completely vertical wall with no difficulties when the brave Viking was completely exhausted. Nevertheless Ju could not permit father T to catch up. She knew what waited her if the humble monk would get his hands on her. Well first of all he would make Ju stop and take her helmet off. since it is inappropriate to talk to priests and have something on your head. Then Father would get off his donkey to give him some carrot,. But since he never had any carrots on him, Father sincerely asked Ju to search for one. Ju would usually start digging around in the dirt while father would kick her in the ass and tell her to hurry up, because his donkey was in a terrible need of a carrot. And he would not stop until Ju dug out a big and juicy carrot. After that Father would start complaining that she is too dirty and it is inappropriate to talk to the holy man in such a state of being. He would open his bag, take out a ceramic inflatable bath, some soap, pour water into the bath and make Ju sit inside. After cleaning the brave viking Father would start his long prophecies...
Well Ju realized she has t stop thinking of what Father T can do to her this time and keep moving since the yellow donkey was catching up. Fortunately for her the sun was going down and it meant that Father T had to do his rituals. Every evening Father T had to have a good dinner and a proper cup of tea, otherwise next morning he always was in a bad mood and kicked Ju even harder. ON the other hand it was too dark and Ju could not see the way. She unscrewed both horns from her helmet, placed 2 candles instead of them and lit them. For a while it was ok, however soon the wax started dripping on Ju and going under her battle shirt. It was very ticklish so ju started laughing very hard. And we all know what happens when one is laughing very hard in the mountains. And the thing happened. A family of flying elephants appeared from nowhere. They picked up tomatoes from the nearby trees and started bombarding Ju. Soon the brave viking was completely soaked in tomato juice. Ju started sliding downhill, since the juice was slippery and elephants would definitely bombard her to the bottom of the hill and then enslave her in underground mines if not for the loyal guardian. Father T made a lasso out of his robe and caught one of the elephants. It was quiet again.
Three hours passed and Ju still could not find a carrot for the donkey. Yes she escaped the elephant mines but she still had to search for the carrot. And believe me or not - but there was no carrots in these mountains. However faithful father T did not want to hear anything and screamed Ju to dig deeper.
The full moon came out and put some light onto the world. A huge campfire peacefully burned on the campsite. It would be completely quiet and peaceful if not the screams of the elephant that was put on the stick and hanged on top of the fire for dinner ( A family recipe of Ftaher T). Father was napping under the sunflower tree, and Ju was still in the dirt trying to find a carrot, only her legs were sticking upward and kicking into every single possible direction.

  6. so, after some debating about what I should do - read some more Hagar comics or write another chapter - I decided to continue the narration.
So as we all remember Ju was digging in the dirt trying to find a carrot for the donkey and had no luck. The only way to get out of this horrible situation was to try to escape. Ju started digging a tunnel and eventually ended upon the other side of the Earth in the kingdom of the righteous Murbar, who recently saw the red point. Because the righteous Murbar was a true believer, he understood that the red point was a sign for him. He was os happy that he ordered a celebration and even ordered the best belly dancer Tito to arrive to the palace immediately. Upon his arrival - Tito got dressed in his belly dancer costume and started dancing salsa in circles in the Murbar's yard. At this exact moment Ju dug herself out right in the center of the circle where Tito was dancing. And the prophecy fulfilled. Ju wanted to get out and great the king as it was te tradition to do so. However her lower end got stuck in the hole. King Murbar was so happy, not every single day a brave viking gets stuck in your front yard, that he ordered a fence to be built around Ju. It was a miracle for Murbar, however not everyone believed that Ju was a holy worm, as Murbar thought. The local crew of scientists decided to conduct several tests on Ju, in order to prove her Holiness. Ju was in trouble. She could not get out of the hole, since she was stuck and she could not go back into the hole, since faithful Father was still waiting for a juicy carrot on the other side of the earth.
The scientists were coming closer and closer, strange devices in their hands made Ju a bit nervous. "Ok I understand the bone saw, pliers, hot iron and other things are appropriate to test someone's holiness but why do they have a barrel of cheap homemade amaretto that had a 2 bags of sugar added to it?" That Ju did not know.
And the scientists were coming closer and closer...
